Microsoft acpi

I am steadily hunting down an issue where my audio & video clip desync on my windows 10 desktop computer, where the audio pulls ahead of video clip (I believe sầu due lớn continuous microlags of video). I am using dpclat and Latency Monitor khổng lồ identify problem areas, & from my retìm kiếm believe this driver is a possible cause.

I am all for continuing this discussion should dealing with that not fix my issues, but first of all I need an absolute yes or no answer khổng lồ the following question: Is it safe khổng lồ disable the "loveforht.net ACPI-Compliant System" driver under the System Devices section of Device Manager?

I understvà that messing with drivers under System Devices could brichồng a computer if I am not careful, and have sầu not found a direct answer to lớn this question in my searching so far. Please let me know, so I can continue attempting to lớn resolve sầu this issue.

Regards,

Taurus

Hi TaurusIt is not safe to disable that driver if you are not going lớn re-enable it before restarting your systemIf you uninstall that driver, Windows will load a new driver on a reboot, if you disable it, Windows will not load a new driver và your system may not boot up correctly . . .You say you are trying to resolve an error with audio and video syncing on your system, where did you read that disabling that driver would resolve that problem? Are you streaming đoạn phim or are you playing đoạn phim from a local source?

All Clip regardless of source, whether in browser or truyền thông media player, whether streamed or local. I have sầu been searching for hits of this issue for a while & seen a wide range of ideas, from changing power plan settings lớn swapping lớn the generic audio driver, from modifying the registry to lớn enable MSISupported underMessageSignaledInterruptProperties for the audio drivers lớn disabling cpu throttling in the btiện ích ios (didn"t do this one because I couldn"t find the setting in particular).

Either way, nothing has changed this issue. As DPCLat & Latency Monitor (resplendence) have sầu both informed me, I am continuing to lớn have sầu severe and repetitive sầu latency issues on my desktop PC which become evident when attempting khổng lồ watch any đoạn phim, as the audio pulls ahead of the picture. Attempting khổng lồ skip backwards in a video clip causes it to lớn freeze on a frame while the audio skips baông xã và plays automatically, the Clip starting again up to lớn a second or more later.

Currently my note was looking at the Highest Execution hit reported by Latency Monitor, an over one second time spent on ACPI.sys, or the ACPI Driver for NT. Searching for that pointed me towards this driver - I"ve sầu seen other people online here & there mentioning a SIMILAR driver (ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery) which disabling seems to improve sầu latency issues, but I believe that is to vị with máy vi tính versions of windows 10 which have sầu this handling, which is different for me as a PC user - that driver doesn"t appear in my drivers danh mục at all, the Compliant System driver was the closest match I could find, so I decided to investigate on whether I can disable that & if I can, whether it will resolve my issues.

However if, as you say, disabling the driver will cause boot issues, và removing it will just cause it khổng lồ be reinstalled on restart, I"m at a dead kết thúc here.

Here"s a copy of my DPC Latency report, you can see I"m getting consistent very high latency spikes, but also my baseline is not that great either, I don"t think I should be at a 1 millisecond (p sure that"s the conversion) average.

And here"s the Latency Monitor reports. To the best of my awareness, wdf01000.sys having a high total execution is a symptom, not a cause, so I should be looking at what"s causing it to lớn act up not at it itself. The drivers after this point at the DirectX Graphics Kernel, the Latency Monitor (which obviously won"t be running most of the time), và then the High Definition Audio Bus Driver.

I am using the generic "High Definition Audio Device" driver in place of the Realtek driver as that was part of a recommended fix (That didn"t work).

Notably, I did recently tăng cấp my desktop, changing out graphics thẻ and motherboard while keeping hard drives, & the new graphics card is Radeon while the previous one was nvidia. If changing between these two has introduced instability, that could be a secret cause. That said I did just today disable all nvidia services on my computer và restart it & I"m still having these issues, so I"m doubtful.
